hi
this simple explanation isn’t clear to me enough… hélas!
i am trying to install a calendar for roundcube
I do it in the following way:
I put the unzipped folder in the /etc/roundcube/plugins folder
I edit the file /etc/roundcube/config.inc.php
I add the name of the plugin plugin in $config[‘plugins’] = array(’‘password’, ‘newmail_notifier’, ‘zipdownload’, ‘calendar’,);
I close session in rouudcube and when I re-enter the plugin is not activated
What am I doing wrong? Is there a special way to make roudcube plugins work in hestiacp?
so far, i understand that following the official install instructions is not working …
I copied my unziped folder in /var/lib/roundcube/plugins/filters
added the plugin in /etc/roundcube/config.inc.php
then, i don’t understand the next step
could someone put it in other words please?
lastely, this install could be squeezed at the next hestia update?

I think its this:
You’ve installed the plugin called filter into /var/lib/roundcube/plugins
You need to make a directory called filter in /etc/roundcube/plugins
mkdir -p /etc/roundcube/plugins/filter
Then you need to link to the config file you find in your plugin install directory. I don’t know what your config file is called in this case, but something like this:
ln -s /var/lib/roundcube/plugins/filter/config.inc.php /etc/roundcube/plugins/filter/config.inc.php
However I see you in another thread asking about the sieve install script, so maybe that’s a better way of doing things.
it seemed easier
i didn’t know about sieve
HOW TO INSTALL SIEVE > see this thread:
yeah ! great idea !
cd /tmp
sudo wget https://github.com/hestiacp/hestiacp/blob/main/install/upgrade/manual/install_sieve.sh
sudo bash install_sieve.sh
install_sieve.sh: line 8: syntax error near unexpected token newline
